sign our petition !
On December 4, we launched a petition, an opening letter to Nicolas Hulot, the French Minister of the Environment. We also intend to send our petition to the Ministry of Labour.

Through this petition, we want to raise awareness of the working conditions of subway agents and express our concerns and propositions to relieve the situation.
Our petition can be divided into two parts:
one concerning the agents of the metro
another one for the users
The proposals for the subway employees are very concrete: to reduce the threshold of exposure to fine particles, which today is 10 times higher than that recommended by the WHO, but also to guarantee that the agents have the medical follow-up and the equipment needed to work. Exposure to particles must also be recognized as a factor of difficulty for retirement.

With regard to everyday users, we recommend conducting a global audit in different metro stations to make a real inventory and have a real basis to modernize subways and subway platforms (what are the priority lines? is the modernization plan led by RATP?). This audit would establish a real responsibility on this issue and set clear and concrete targets for reducing pollution in the metro.
This petition we hope will continue to build credibility around this issue and show the support of public opinion around it.

Our long-term goal is to bring the question to the public debate and to involve all stakeholders: the State, the RATP, users, workers, trade unions and associations to get it recognized. as a public health issue. Every year, we hear about the poor air quality of the subway, but not even today a consolidated public policy has yet been put in practice on the subject. This petition is, therefore, the premise of a public policy.

We have shared our petition on social networks and almost 200 people have signed it. Change.org platform helps us boost the visibility of our petition, and we continue to share it so that it can be signed by as many people as possible. Our goal is to reach 1,000 people.

thank you for getting involved!
